This week we were pleased to host two awesome couples from Blind Bay, BC with a special guest, Spike’s Mom being on board for the first time. We even had a new Deckhand this week, Spike’s daughter, Kim. This trip started out like the last 4 or 5. Big crabs on morning one and Coho almost at will the first afternoon. A few bigger Coho starting to show. Landed 3 fish in the 11-12 pound range on day one.  What a fun Day!

Remaining in our same Anchorage, the views in the evening on the Drifter were breathtaking. Day 2 was bottom fishing day. 4 halibut and 10 Ling were kept.  The biggest Ling was 28 pounds. What an awesome fish! Lots of Whale shows today with some bubble feeding right next to us. It was glass calm on the outside waters making for an epic day.

Day 3 was half salmon half bottom fish with again calm seas. We had a Gale blow in overnight and was quite windy on the last day but we managed to fill our Salmon limits. The rest of the day was lots of laughs and some close card games on the Drifter. Even some dancing when a random Disco song came on the XM. Maybe it was the wine? Good times!
